    Arrive Nadi, Fiji

    A beach on the first evening

    Met at Nadi airport and transferred to the hotel, with check-in after 3 pm. In the evening, a 45 to 50 minute drive south to Natadola Beach — widely considered the best public beach on Viti Levu, a long stretch of soft white sand and turquoise water. Dinner at a restaurant, then back to the hotel.

    Nadi

    Culture, orchids and a village 3,000 years old

    A half-day culture and village tour. Viseisei is believed to be the landing site of the first indigenous Fijians over 3,000 years ago, and you will hear its history, traditions and local etiquette. Then the Sleeping Giant Orchid Gardens, with canopied boardwalks and landscaped lawns, and Honey and Hive Fiji inside the same garden — Fiji's first live bee wall, apiary tours and honey tastings. A local market before dinner.

    Nadi to Auckland

    Across to New Zealand

    Check out and transfer to the airport for the flight to Auckland, which is included in the package. On arrival, check into the hotel with the evening at leisure. Dinner at a restaurant.

    Auckland

    The city of two harbours

    An Auckland city tour taking in Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium, and up the Sky Tower for views over the city and both of its harbours. Back to the hotel with the evening free, and dinner at an Indian restaurant.

    Auckland to Waitomo to Rotorua

    Underground, by glowworm light

    Check out and drive towards Rotorua, stopping at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves for a guided tour through more than 250 metres of underground landscape. Continue to Rotorua and check in. Dinner at a restaurant.

    Rotorua

    Maori culture and geothermal country

    A full day of Rotorua sightseeing: the Agrodome and its farm show, Te Puia, and the Te Ra guided experience with a cultural performance. Dinner at an Indian restaurant.

    Rotorua to Queenstown

    South, to the mountains

    Check out and transfer to the airport for the flight to Queenstown, which is included in the package. Transfer to the hotel on arrival, with check-in after 2 pm and the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at an Indian restaurant.

    Queenstown

    Gondolas, jetboats and a famous bridge

    A day of Queenstown sightseeing: historic Arrowtown, the Kawarau bungy bridge, the Skyline Gondola with three luge rides, and KJet jetboating on the rivers. Dinner at an Indian restaurant.

    Queenstown to Milford Sound to Te Anau

    The eighth wonder of the world

    Check out and set off for Milford Sound — about 280 kilometres and four hours. At the fiord, board a 1 hour 45 minute cruise through dense rainforest, glacier-carved valleys and waterfalls, in the place Rudyard Kipling called the eighth wonder of the world. Then a two-hour drive to Te Anau, dinner at a local Indian restaurant, and the hotel.

    Te Anau to Wanaka

    A lake town, and a puzzle

    Check out and drive to Wanaka, about 230 kilometres and three hours, stopping at Puzzling World on arrival. Check in with the rest of the day at leisure, and dinner at a restaurant.

    Wanaka to Franz Josef

    Into glacier country

    Check out and drive to Franz Josef, about 330 kilometres and five hours through the Southern Alps. Check in on arrival, with dinner at an Indian restaurant.

    Franz Josef to Arthur's Pass to Christchurch

    Over the pass to the east coast

    An optional scenic helicopter flight over the glacier is available early in the morning, weather permitting — this is not included in the package and costs approximately USD 225 onwards. Then check out and drive to Christchurch via Hokitika and Arthur's Pass, about 380 kilometres and six hours. Evening at leisure.

    Christchurch

    Antarctica, then home

    Check out and visit the International Antarctic Centre, which sits at the international airport and opens at 9 am. Snow and ice, an Antarctic storm, the polar plunge ice water challenge, life at Scott Base today, and the Little Blue Penguins. Then on to the terminal for your flight home. Please book your return flight after 3 pm where the option exists.

The land package includes

  • 12 nights of accommodation on twin sharing basis in 4-star hotels, except Te Anau and Wanaka where hotels are 3-star

Visa and insurance are both arranged by our office. Ask for the cost when you enquire and it will be quoted alongside the flights.

Booking, payment and cancellation

Stated in full, so there are no surprises later. Ask us anything about these terms before you pay a deposit.

To hold a seat

Rs. 1,50,000 per person at the time of booking, along with a copy of your passport. The balance is due 60 days before departure. Your passport must be valid for six months from the departure date.

If you cancel

10% more than 60 days before departure; 25% between 60 and 45 days; 50% between 45 and 30 days; 75% between 30 and 21 days; 100% within 21 days. Internal air ticket cancellation charges apply in every case.

Good to know

Where a cancellation applies, the amount left after charges is issued as a credit note, usable against any of our packages within one year. Rates and availability change, so the price above is confirmed at the time of booking.
